Milan is located in the northeastern portion of Ripley County at the junction of state roads 350 and 101. Founded in 1854, it is in the midst of its sesquicentennial year. Along with the feat of heritage alone, this now bedroom community to Cincinnati, Ohio is the home to 1954's Miss Indiana, Miss Cecelia Dennis, who was celebrating her 50 year anniversary at this event as well.
